In order to protect the privacy of patients admitted to UMC Utrecht, we are very careful about giving out medical information. The nurses on the wards arrange for who will be the contact together with the patient and those close to him . If the patient is not able to keep those around him informed, the caregivers will try to give information about the patient only to the contact.
