Tuesday 10 December 2013 This year two Young Talent Fellowships have been awarded to two excellent young researchers. Jacoba Greving will use the fellowship to investigate if it can be predicted which patients benefit from anti-thrombosis medication to prevent secondary ischemia after stroke. Jacoba received before a NWO Veni grant (2011) and has, in collaboration with researchers from neurology and neurosurgery, made an important contribution to the identification of risk factors in the area of stroke. Christiaan Vinkers will use his fellowship to investigate the relation between negative events early in life on the one hand and the structural and/or functional networks in the brain during adulthood on the other hand. Recently Christiaan received a NWO Veni grant and a fellowship from the Dutch Brain Foundation. Brain Center Rudolf Magnus is happy to further support the research of these young talents.
