December 11 the canon of Dutch medicine was revealed. In fifty windows the canon provides an overview of memorable moments and persons in Dutch medicine and health care. The timeline starts with 'the girl from Yde' about prehistoric medicine, and ends in 1982 with the discovery of the fusion gene, a Dutch discovery adding momentum to the unraveling of the genetic basis of disease.
