Being admitted to the hospital is a big event, especially for a child. After all, you leave home to stay in a hospital room, often for an extended period. At Wilhelmina Children's Hospital – part of UMC Utrecht – everything possible is done to make sure children feel at home during their hospital stay. We, the Friends of Wilhelmina Children's Hospital, play a part in this.
One of our activities is to raise money for good causes within the hospital. These are projects that can make a child’s stay in the hospital more agreeable, ones that cannot be paid for by the regular health care budget. Thanks to the help of donors, we have been able to provide a large number of such extras. But more money is still needed, both to continue what we have started and to provide even more of the good things that make a child’s hospital stay as pleasant as possible.
