The Central Military Hospital (CMH) in Utrecht is an non-affiliated hospital that is part of the Dutch Ministry of Defense. It is intended primarily for the medical care, diagnoses, and treatment of active military personnel. In addition, physical examinations are also done in this facility for hiring and occupational health and safety purposes.
The hospital works in close cooperation with University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC Utrecht), which is located next to the CMH. The CMH focuses on outpatient activities and treatments and short-stay admissions. Patients are referred to UMC Utrecht for more involved care (including coronary care, intensive, high and medium care and emergency treatment).
