The Immuno Valley initiative is creating a permanent framework for research and market-oriented projects (valorisation) with industry partners in the area of emerging infectious diseases. The network will be developed in the North-West Netherlands. Immuno Valley aims to bring industry into direct contact with knowledge institutions and also act as a portal for third parties for patents or licensing (the consortium cooperates with Technology Transfer Offices of the partners).
Immuno Valley research covers the entire knowledge and production chain to develop new solutions for emerging infectious diseases. Partners have outstanding expertise in all knowledge areas related to infectious diseases (including epidemiology, microbiology and immunology). This applies to both human and animal health and is an excellent basis to find new solutions for re-emerging infections and zoonotic pathogens, among others.
PinDa Immunovalley is co-financed by PinDa (Pieken in de Delta), a grant program of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Ministry collaborates with industry, knowledge institutions and regional governments on innovation projects which promote sustainable regional growth.
