The Julius Health Care Centers in Leidsche Rijn (part of Utrecht municipality) offer a wide range of primary health care services for the residents of this new district. Care is provided by general practitioners, physical therapists, midwives, and social workers among others.
In addition, the Leidsche Rijn Health Care Project is underway in the health care centers. This project involves a large-scale, long-term study into the state of health of the residents of Leidsche Rijn and how this evolves over time.
The study is being carried out jointly by general practitioners in the Leidsche Rijn health care centers and the Julius Center at UMC Utrecht.
