Utrecht University's master programs on health and disease, micro-organisms, plants, animals, humans, and the molecules of life are grouped together in the Utrecht Graduate School of Life Sciences. The school combines training and education for Master’s and PhD students, thus incorporating theory and practice at both levels and ensuring quality and consistency. All research master programs combine the expertise and educational facilities of the Faculty of Science - in particular the departments of Biology, Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences - with the clinical research and education of the UMC Utrecht and Veterinary Medicine.
