On Friday 20 March, 2009, Professor Bart Fauser (Head of the Division of Reproductive Medicine) was awarded the Frederick Naftolin Award for Mentorship. Fauser was chosen to receive this American award because of his training and motivation of new researchers.
The American Society for Gynecologic Investigation spends a lot of time and attention on young researchers and awards the Frederick Naftolin Award for Mentorship annually. The award is intended to honor people who have been instrumental in the motivation and training of new researchers. Fauser is the first non-American to receive the award.
