The program focuses on the function of genes and gene products in relation to disease. A large number of common diseases are caused by combinations of (mildly) dysfunctioning genes and the environment.
We employ expertise in all of the areas needed for functional analysis of the genome, including genetics and genomics, metabolomics, bio-informatics, molecular and cell biology, protein chemistry and proteomics.
