The oncology program combines fundamental and pre-clinical research to create new insight into the aberrant processes within cancer cells and the communication of cancer cells with their environment. Our results assist the development of new treatments, with specific emphasis on signal transduction, angiogenesis and cell cycle control. We actively support the translation of fundamental research into early clinical development of anti-cancer drugs, biomarkers and surgical techniques.
