Title research Genotype-phenotype study in Anorexia Nervosa
Summary researchThis gene-association study is aiming for identification of genotypes displaying associations with Anorexia Nervosa phenotypes. A number of SNPs will be genotyped in a clinical sample of cases suffering from an eating disorder. Extensive phenotypic data, including psychological traits (temperament, personality) and cognitive abilities (set-shifting), will be available and ready to test for associations with gene variations. The advantage of this approach is inclusion of endophenotypes and intermediate phenotypes into the gene-association analysis and usage of a considerably large sample (from 250 to 400 patients).
