Summary research Verster has a broad experience with conducting and managing clinical trials and a track-record of scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and invited lectures. Verster is supervisor of 2 PhD students and several graduate and undergraduate students. His current research interests include: (1) effects of drugs on driving and traffic safety, (2) drug abuse and addiction, and (3) sleep and sleep disorders.
Verster is Editor-in-Chief of the international peer-reviewed journals Current Drug Abuse Reviews and The Open Addiction Journal. Verster is editor of several books, including Sleep & Quality of Life in Clinical Medicine, Sleep Disorders: Diagnosis and Therapeutics, Drug Abuse & Addiction in Medical Illness, and Drugs, Driving & Traffic Safety.
