This project investigates the T cell response of Myeloma patients toward known TAAs (Mage, Gage family, Tyrosinase, SSX, Survivin, NY-ESO-1, DKK-1) periodically after allogeneic SCT. T cells are stimulated with immunogenic peptides of these TAAs and the responses are measured by cytokine capture assays. We then isolate and clone TAA specific T cells and test their reactivity against myeloma cells. Myeloma reactive T cells are subsequently tested for their in vivo anti-myeloma effect in a xenogenic human myeloma model, which has been developed in collaboration with Dr. A.C.M. Martens from the Department of Immunology.
