Projects you are working on, most important tasks: My project is aimed at using endogenous membrane vesicles, such as microvesicles and exosomes, for drug delivery purposes. I employ various biotechnical engineering techniques to alter the content and composition of vesicles secreted by various cell types. In these approaches I mostly use tissues of patients in our hospital as the starting material, so results with high clinical relevance can be obtained.
What special knowledge of yours could be of interest to your colleagues?
I have some experience with in vivo and in vitro models of the blood-brain barrier, and I am familiar with most techniques in molecular biology.
Special interests, hobbies: (Rock) music, movies and of course science.
