Projects you are working on, most important tasks:
In co-operation with the University of Utrecht, we have recently developed a single domain antibody against FVIIa. This antibody makes it possible to determine increased levels of FVIIa in plasma and we are currently studying if FVIIa is associated with increased thrombosis risk. Furthermore, the anti-FVIIa antibody is a valuable tool to investigate the pharmacokinetics of rFVIIa. In addition, we are investigating the role of the platelet receptor LRP8 in thrombosis, both arterial and venous.
