The Genome Diagnostics Section of the Department of Medical Genetics comprises the Laboratories for DNA Diagnostics and Clinical Cytogenetics.
The Genome Diagnostics Section provides both prenatal and postnatal genetic diagnosis using a wide variety of state-of-the-art techniques ranging from karyotyping, fluorescent in situ hybridisation, CGH-array, to sequencing.
The section combines genetic testing with comprehensive interpretation of the test results by accredited experts to provide accurate, timely, molecular and cytogenetic results for a variety of inherited and congenital disorders.
