The translational research in the laboratory of Experimental Cardiology encompasses projects from the bench to the bedside. Main objectives are: 

• To unravel the mechanisms of arterial occlusive disease.
• To discover new biomarkers related with atherosclerotic disease progression:
  Athero-Express, Circulating Cells.
• To test newly developed interventional strategies in large animal models of cardiovascular disease.
• To study the potential of regenerative medicine in myocardial tissue repair.
