The laboratory of experimental cardiology has broad experience in complex large animal models of vascular and myocardial disease. Models that have been validated and applied in experimental studies include: stenting and balloon angioplasty, CABG, minimally invasive CABG (project leader Dr P Grundeman), myocardial ischemia, myocardial ischemia reperfusion, AV-shunting, stem cell transplantation.
