Please check in at the reception desk in Stratenum's main entrance hall. We have moved to new offices on the 1st and ground floors (access via corridor to right of reception desk in main foyer). The labs are on the same floor (1st) as the main entrance to Stratenum.
Directions from Utrecht Central station
By taxi (about 20 minutes).
In Stratenum: please report to the reception desk and ask them to phone 8427/ 8790 for someone to collect you.
By bus, number 11 or 12 (approx. every 5-10 minutes during working day, 3 times an hour at weekends and evenings).
The bus station is underneath the main train station concourse (Utrecht CS).
The buses stop at the University administration building (Bestuursgebouw on Heidelberglaan) and the University Hospital (AZU). Both are a few minutes walk to Stratenum.
Get off the bus at the Bestuursgebouw (Univ. administration building), walk on to the traffic lights and turn left. Stratenum is the light green, angular, medical faculty building.The main entrance is up the steps. Please report to the reception desk on the first floor and ask them to phone 68901 or 68427 for someone to come and collect you.
You will need a 'strippenkaart' (multiple bus strips that can be stamped per journey/ 4 strips to the Uithof), these can be bought at the train ticket office, ticket machines or post offices.
Town buses: 10, 11, 12, 12s, 20, 30, 31 serve the Uithof.

Directions from Schiphol
The railway station (NS Nederlandse Spoorwegen) is located under the airport terminal buildings and the ticket office is in the main airport concourse. You will need a train ticket to Utrecht CS and maybe a bus card ('strippenkaart' see above).
There is a direct train from Schiphol to Utrecht CS (32 mins). Make sure you get on an intercity train. The local train (stoptrein) will get you to Utrecht but takes much longer.
By car
N.B.Car parks are often full around the UMC during the working day and the motorways are congested during the rush hours.
From Amsterdam (A2), The Hague and Rotterdam (A12)
-at motorway interchange "Oudenrijn" follow the signs first towards Arnhem (A12) and then
towards Amersfoort (A28). After motorway interchange "Rijnsweerd" take the first exit to "De Uithof" and "UMC".
To reach Stratenum
-Turn left after leaving motorway and follow road round to the major crossroads and traffic lights. Turn left to the UMC/AZU main car park (paid parking).
- Stratenum is the pale green, triangular building next to the AZU. Walk from the car park into the AZU and inside the main entrance, turn left and walk to the end of the wing, bear right over the internal bridge into Stratenum.
From Hilversum (A27)
-take A28 towards Amersfoort at motorway interchange "Rijnsweerd". Take the first exit to "De Uithof" and "UMC". See above.
From Amersfoort (A28)
-after passing Zeist/Den Dolder take the next exit to "De Uithof" and "UMC". Turn left at traffic lights and drive over motorway. See above.
From Arnhem (A12)
-follow signs towards Amersfoort (A28), after motorway interchange "Rijnsweerd" take the first exit to "De Uithof" and "UMC". See above.
N.B. All the above motorways and junctions become jammed during the rush hours.
