A.P. (Sasha) Zhernakova, MD, PhD, 3 Dec 2009
The autoimmune puzzle – shared and specific genetics of immune-related diseases
Sasha was awarded her PhD thesis cum laude. She has worked on the genetic aspects of coeliac disease for several years in the Complex Genetics team and extended her interests to other autoimmune diseases. She collaborated closely with the Dept. of Genetics, UMC Groningen, for this research. She will take up a post-doctoral fellowship at the Dept. of Rheumatology on 1 Jan 2010.

V.M. (Victorien) Wolters, MD, PhD, paedatrician, 3 Nov 2009
Diagnostics and genetics of coeliac disease
Victorien Wolters, MD, has worked for the past few years in the Dept. of Metabolic Diseases, Wilhelmina Children's Hospital, UMC Utrecht, and collaborated with the Complex Genetics section. She now has a post-doc position in Boston.

Maartje Aukes, MD, PhD, 22 Sept. 2009
Genetics of cognitive endophenotypes in schizophrenia - a family-based study
Maartje Aukes performed her PhD research in the Julius Center for Health Science and Primary Care, Rudolf Magnus Institute of Neuroscience, and Department of Psychiatry, UMC Utrecht and collaborated with the Complex Genetics section. She will take up a post in the Julius Center.
