Publications by Dr. Carla Y. Vossen Carla Vossen is senior post-doc in the Department of Medical Genetics. Her work focuses on the genetic risk factors for venous thrombosis.
She was awarded a Horizon Breakthrough Grant in 2009 to study miRNA regulation of coagulation in a large, case-control study, in close collaboration with the Department of Clinical Epidemiology, Leiden University Medical Center.
In addition, she is working with Professor Bovill at the Department of Pathology, University of Vermont (Burlington, VT, USA) to identify the genetic risk factors for venous thrombosis in a large family with an inherited tendency to develop venous thrombosis.
