The Genome Diagnostics Section operates within the Professional Guidelines of the Dutch National Board for DNA-diagnostics (LOD) and Cytogenetics (LOC). They are embedded in an organisation which unites genetic research, DNA-diagnostics, chromosome research, biochemical (enzyme) diagnostics and genetic counselling. These diagnostic laboratories have the exclusive right and permission to perform genetic diagnostics for hereditary diseases.
