Present position
Pathologist in Wilhelmina Children's Hospital since 1 December 1996, part of University Medical Center Utrecht.
Besides pathology duties in general, specialized in perinatal and paediatric pathology. He supervises thel perinatal and paediatric autopsies in University Medical Center Utrecht (average 100-120 a year).
Realisation of and participation in weekly perinatal conferences, monthly mortality meetings with the departments of obstretics, neonatology and pediatrics, monthly meetings with several departments of Wilhelmina Children's Hospital.
Attending audit meetings in several hospitals in the region.
Member of the Dutch Skeletal Dysplasia Society with special interest in lethal skeletal dysplasias.
Educational activities
comprise:
giving lectures in paediatric and perinatal pathology to medical students
practical training for medical students
supervising PhD students of the faculty of medicine
participating in the education of the residents in pathology
