Education

Present position

• Pathologist in Wilhelmina Children's Hospital since 1 December 1996, part of University Medical Center Utrecht.
• Besides pathology duties in general, specialized in perinatal and paediatric pathology. He supervises thel perinatal and paediatric autopsies in University Medical Center Utrecht (average 100-120 a year).
• Realisation of and participation in weekly perinatal conferences, monthly mortality meetings with the departments of obstretics, neonatology and pediatrics, monthly meetings with several departments of Wilhelmina Children's Hospital.
• Attending audit meetings in several hospitals in the region.
• Member of the Dutch Skeletal Dysplasia Society with special interest in lethal skeletal dysplasias.

Educational activities

comprise:

• giving lectures in paediatric and perinatal pathology to medical students
• practical training for medical students
• supervising PhD students of the faculty of medicine
• participating in the education of the residents in pathology
