Since May 1992 he has been working at the University Medical Center Utrecht, department of radiotherapy. In 1998 he received his PhD for his thesis "Design of a numerical model for describing the heat transfer due to vascular trees". Currently he is working as a research information technologist at the department of radiotherapy with imaging as his main interest area.
