m.vanvulpen[at]umcutrecht.nlMarco van Vulpen received his MD degree from the University of Amsterdam (VU) in 1996 (cum laude) and completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, in 2003, where he was subsequently appointed Staff Clinician. He completed his PhD at the University of Utrecht in 2003. In 2004 he performed a scientific fellowship at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada within the Center for Biological Imaging and Adaptive Radiotherapy. Since 2005 he is member of the Medical Ethical Research Committee of the University of Utrecht. He now is a Clinician Scientist at the department where he holds several Dutch Cancer Society research grants. His scientific work focuses on MRI-guided radiotherapy at which he is assigned as full professor since 2011.
