C.P.J.Raaijmakers@umcutrecht.nlNiels Raaijmakers graduated in Experimental Physics at the University of Nijmegen in 1990. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1997 at the Free University of Amsterdam for work performed at the department of Radiotherapy of the Netherlands Cancer Institute / Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Huis. The subject of his Ph.D. thesis was dosimetry and treatment planning for boron neutron capture therapy. He was trained as clinical physicist from 1997 untill 2000 at the department of Radiotherapy of the University Medical Centre Utrecht where he now works as clinical physicist. He is principal investigator of two projects granted by the Dutch Cancer Soceity. His main research interest is image-based intensity modulated radiotherapy for head-and-neck tumours and the breast.
