About Willemijn van der Kooi was born in Winterswijk, the Netherlands, on the 10th of September, 1986. In 2004 she started her study technical medicine and graduated Cum laude in 2010. After graduation, she started a PhD project in 2011 concerning delirium in the intensive care unit (Promotor: prof. J. Kesecioglu, MD; Co-promotor: A.J.C. Slooter, MD, PhD).
Interest and focus
Her research is focussed on sleep and delirium monitoring using electroencephalography.
