Biography

Biography

Martin Bootsma obtained his master in theoretical physics (cum laude) and mathematics at the Utrecht University. He obtained his PhD on the thesis mathematical studies of the dynamics of antibiotoc resistance in 2005. Afterwards he worked at the department of infectious disease epidemiology of Imperial College London for 1 year. Now he is employed at the mathematics department of Utrecht University (40%) and the Julius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care of the UMCU. He is interested in mathematical and statistical methods to obtain insight in the spread of antimicrobial resistance.
