Fostering talent is a top priority of the UMC Utrecht Brain Center. We invest in our talented junior scientists: they will be the future group leaders.
For those who have completed their PhD program, personal funding is available at the national and international level. Yet, establishing your own lab takes time and personal fellowships usually run out in three years. To further support this group of junior scientists -be it already employed in Utrecht or from elsewhere- each year one or two Rudolf Magnus Young Talent Fellowships are awarded.
This fellowship provides selected candidates with the means to consolidate their independent research line. The Fellowship provides the recipient with the equivalent of 2 years of salary and 100 k euro; to be spent on research as the recipient sees fit. The deadline for application each year is in fall. The application form can be requested at the UMC Utrecht Brain Center secretariat and is distributed within the Institute each year in the summer before the deadline in fall.
