Mirjam van Velthuizen has been a member of the Executive Board (CFO) of the University Medical Center (UMC) Utrecht since October 15, 2013. Prior to joining UMC Utrecht, Mirjam spent three years as a member of the Executive Board of the Rivas Health Care Group. Her appointment as member of the Executive Board of UMC Utrecht signals a return to the employer she worked for over a ten-year period in various roles including manager of operations and health care before joining the Rivas Health Care Group.
She is responsible for the domains capacity, quality, patient security, commitment to strategic themes, operational aspects of collaboration with third parties and some divisions. In addition she is chairman Operational Health Counsel.
Mirjam has temporarily fulfilled the role of vice-president of the Executive Board since March 1, 2019.
