Biography

Dr. Janneke Zinkstok trained as a Medical Doctor and subsequently as a Psychiatrist in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and completed a PhD in Psychiatric Genetics (University of Amsterdam). She worked as a Clinical Research Fellow in the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London, where she studied brain structure in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and specialized in developmental disorders in adults at the Maudsley Hospital. She is now a Psychiatrist at the Department of Psychiatry at the UMC Utrecht, The Netherlands. Her clinical and research interests include the neurobiology of brain development and psychiatric disorders especially neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD and autism) and psychosis, and 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.
