Experiences

We actively encourage our patients to submit their opinions of our care and services. In addition to our own analysis via our patient feedback, we use the Consumer Quality Index (CQI) as a measure of customer satisfaction. This is the most current, scientifically tested standard for measuring, analyzing and reporting on customer experiences in care.

The Consumer Quality Index (CQI) is a standardized system for collecting and evaluating the opinions and experiences of patients in the Netherlands. The CQ-index consists of questionnaires that patients and patient organizations have helped to develop. The results of these help UMC Utrecht further improve care. The independent measurement agency MediQuest sends out electronic versions of the CQ Index questionnaires to patients at home inviting them to share their experience. Participation is voluntary and the answers processed anonymously. The data is then collated and analyzed by MediQuest and presented to us for assessment. We have invested in this service as part of our wider commitment to constant improvements based on patient needs.
