You can come to the UMC Utrecht Pharmacy for all medication and remedies you use at home. Thanks to the wide range in stock, you will usually be able to pick these up straight away.
You can approach the Patient Service for questions and queries as well as reporting your experiences, be these positive or negative.
The Patient Service can be found in the central lobby at the UMC Utrecht, near the main entrance. You are welcome here Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wireless Internet/ Wi-Fi
The UMC Utrecht offers free Wi-Fi.
- Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your mobile device.
- Connect to the network UMCU-GASTEN.
- Open your Internet browser (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari).
- You will be taken to a page presenting the terms and conditions. If you agree to these, click on "accept terms and conditions."
The browser will always be referred to the page http://www.umcutrecht.nl.
You will have access to the Internet for a maximum of 5 hours. After 5 hours the system will ask you to accept the terms and conditions again.
Sometimes the Internet is temporarily offline due to work. Planned maintenance work is ordinarily carried out on Tuesday evenings between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
A wheelchair can be borrowed:
- in the hospital’s central lobby
- outside the main entrance
- by the car park
A €1.00 or €2.00 deposit must be paid for these. This depends on the type of wheelchair. Please return the wheelchair after your visit to the outpatient clinic. You will then have your deposit refunded.
Smoking is not permitted in the hospital. You can smoke in special smoking shelters outside on the hospital grounds. These locations are clearly indicated.
In and around the UMC Utrecht there are various options in terms of places to relax or refresh your mind. Such as art, gardens and the sanctuary.
Stores and restaurants
The UMC Utrecht houses a store, a florist and even a hairdresser. There are also coffee corners and restaurants where you can have a bite to eat or a drink.
