Making and changing an appointment
Want to make an appointment at the UMC Utrecht? Please get in touch with the outpatient clinic. In order to make an initial appointment you will usually need a letter of referral from a physician (e.g. your family doctor).
What is your situation?

- You will receive a reminder via text and/or email (depending on your preference) right before your appointment or recording.
- Is your appointment scheduled within 4 days? Then you will receive a reminder on the day we schedule the appointment for you.
- Would you rather not receive a reminder or do you have a different preference? You can easily change this yourself via the My UMC Utrecht patient portal under 'personal contact profile'.

- Will you have an appointment at UMC Utrecht soon? Then keep in mind that you sometimes have to pay for hospital care yourself. This depends on your insurance policy.
- We therefore advise you to contact your health insurer before making an appointment at UMC Utrecht. Your health insurer knows the conditions of your policy and can tell you which hospitals they have a contract with.
