Prevent spread of hospital bacteria
What will you take with you?
Always bring the following:
- Your valid identification
- Your insurance card or health insurance card
- A current list of the medications you are taking. You can pick this up at the pharmacy
- All medications you are taking in the container. Also bring medications not prescribed by your doctor, such as St. John's wort
- Do you use home health care? If so, please bring contact information for your home care
Useful things to bring
Some things may be handy to bring with you when you are hospitalized, but are not required. The list below is for inspiration. Look mainly at what is convenient in your situation. Prefer not to take expensive or valuable items.
- Your own rollator or wheelchair, with your name and address on it
- Reading glasses, lenses
- Tray for dentures
- Book, magazine, game
- Some money (but not too much)
- Dietary guidelines
