My research is mainly focused on the long-term inflammation after aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH) and it’s effects on cognitive functioning. Inflammation that I research is focused on but not limited to reactive gliosis (activated microglia and in some extent astrocytes), which I aim to investigate in-vivo using Translocator Protein (TSPO) PET imaging combined with MRI. Furthermore, my research includes a thorough investigation of long-term cognition after aSAH, both subjectively through questionnaires and objectively through neuropsychological investigation.
