I&I Annual Scientific Meeting 2020
As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic we unfortunately had to cancel the I&I Annual Scientific Meeting 2020, originally scheduled to take place on May 27 at Villa Jongerius in Utrecht. This summer we have looked at the possibilities to organize an alternative and, as a result, we organized on September 17 the first Online Symposium of Strategic Program I&I, hosted by Jonas Kuiper (CTI). - Astrid Hendriks: Staphylococcus aureus-Langerhans cell-T cell axis in skin inflammation - Mienke Rijsdijk: Neuropathic pain in Intensive Care survivors: the role of hyperinflammation - Nienke Vrisekoop: Intravital Imaging of Catheter-Associated Biofilm Infections Subsequently, the three nominees (Anne Slomp, Eefje Otten-van der Heijden and Liling Shan) of the Erick Hack Publication Award 2020 (best publication by a PhD student as first author) presented their papers, followed by voting by the participants of the meeting. Ultimately, Anne Slomp appeared to be the clear winner of the award. The Erik Hack Publication Award 2020 was recorded and can be viewed here (but only when logged in). |
