Cohort outpatient clinic & cohort nursing ward

What is the cohort outpatient clinic? uitklapper, klik om te openen

The cohort outpatient clinic is an isolated area within our outpatient clinic. Here we receive patients that are (possibly) infected with the  coronavirus. By acting as such we can prevent contamination to our other (often more vulnerable) patients. When you come to our hospital with fly-like symptoms, your appointment will take place at the cohort outpatient clinic.

In the cohort ward we only take care of patients with (possible) coronavirus. In this way, care for these patients remains separate from other patients.

We care for patients with coronavirus in isolation (isolation). We also take the following extra measures:

  • You first report to the nursing desk on the ward. The nurse will provide you with information about the measures.
  • You will receive a new, medical face mask in the cohort ward.
  • You wash and disinfect your hands when you enter and exit the patient's room. If you prefer so, you can wear gloves.
  • Patients remain in their room unless necessary for examination or treatment. When moving, patients wear a medical face mask and wash and disinfect their hands.

Furthermore, measures apply throughout the hospital to keep the environment as safe as possible for you and for us.
