Research focuses on ways to support autonomy, self-management and participation of patients with chronic disabilities; Stroke, Neuromuscular disorders such as ALS and SMA, Brain based Developmental Disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, and Spinal Cord Injury, with a specific focus on the role of personal and environmental factors, cognition, and physical health (physical activity, sleep and nutrition). The research builds on a strong connection between research and clinical practice. The research unit has built a lot of expertise in end-user involvements; patients and relatives are involved in all aspects of all research.
