Leonard van den Berg
With decades of academic experience at the UMC Utrecht, Leonard van den Berg’s knowledge of the UMC Utrecht and its researchers is unmatched. Leonard is a neurologist by training and Professor of Experimental Neurology since 2005. He aims to strengthen the UMC Utrecht’s expertise in trial design and international partnerships with other trial centers and pharma in order to improve the quality and increase the numbers of clinical trials. To foster this ambition, he is Chair of the Executive Board, of TRICALS, a consortium of research institutes to treat ALS. He aims to make sure the UMC Utrecht is viewed as a valued and interesting research partner for external parties, such as CROs and pharmaceutical companies.
