Peter van de Ven
A mathematician by training, Peter van de Ven has quickly focused on biostatistics, specifically on development and implementation of new statistical methodology for efficient clinical trials. At U-TRIAL, he aims to improve the methodological and statistical quality of research proposals and clinical trials at the UMC Utrecht. He strongly believes that early involvement of statisticians in the design phase of the study and their continued involvement throughout the study greatly improves the quality and success of the clinical trials. His current focus is on facilitating the collaborations between statisticians working on clinical trials and collaborations between statisticians and clinical researchers at the UMC Utrecht.
