The Neuromuscular Diseases care track is part of the Department of Neurology at UMC Utrecht. The aim of the care track is to provide the best patient care within the NMD focus area and to combine patient care with scientific research and education. The neuromuscular diseases rotation for neurology residents lasts 6 months and can be extended by another 6 months. During these 6 months, the resident becomes familiar with the NMD focus area of neurology. After the rotation, the resident is able to independently recognize and treat the most common neuromuscular diseases.
