The EuroPAD questionnaire on the management of patients with Peripheral Artery Disease in Europe
Dear Colleague,
The diagnosis and management of patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) affecting lower extremities is demanding and often complex. The burden of disease is severe: patients with PAD are at high risk for developing acute cardiovascular events and / or acute limb events. The clinical pathways for these patients are, however, not always clear. They may vary between different countries, but the first step in management depends invariably on the general practitioners.
We – a collaborative group of European experts in primary care, cardiovascular medicine and surgery – are interested in gaining more insight into different management strategies throughout Europe. For this reason, we have developed a short 12-item questionnaire. We would be most grateful if you contributed to this important European project involving 9 countries. The questionnaire should take less than 10 minutes to complete and all responses will be treated anonymously.
This questionnaire does not address any pharmacological treatment.
